State Plan Schemes

Rashtriya Sam Vikas Yojana (RSVY)

Under Backward District initiative 16 districts of the state namely Lohardaga, Simdega, Gumla, Bokaro, Chatra, Palamu, Koderma, Latehar, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Saraikela, Giridih, Garhwa, West Singhbhum, Hazaribagh and Godda have been selected under RSVY. Jamtara, Dumka, Pakur and Sahebganj are also included under this scheme during this financial year 2006-07.

The main objective of the scheme is to address the problems of low agricultural productivity, unemployment and to fill critical gaps in physical and social infrastructure. All the districts have prepared a comprehensive 3 years Master Plan based on SWOT analysis. Accordingly various schemes in irrigation, education, health, rural connectivity and agriculture & allied sectors have been taken up.

In the financial year 2006-07, Rs. 28000.00 lakhs (Rs. 14500.00 lakhs for TSP area and Rs. 13500.00 lakhs for OSP area) has been proposed.

Greater Ranchi Development Agency

The State Government has setup "Greater Ranchi Development Agency (GRDA)", a company registered under the Companies Act, 1956 to construct, to execute and to manage public works, government projects of all kinds and all other works of conveniences or other public or private liability. An amount of Rs. 26.08 lakhs has been spent for registration of the company. A sum of Rs. 473.92 lakhs has been provided towards share capital subscription in the year 2003-04. An outlay of Rs. 110.00 lakhs is proposed towards share capital subscription in the year 2006-07.

Mukhayamantri Kanyadan Yojana

The objective of this scheme is to help families living below poverty line for the purpose of marriage of their daughters which generally force these families to get into the clutch of money lenders in the rural area. Under the scheme, 10 thousand girls get financial assistance Rs. 10,000.00 each in kind and cash at the time of their marriage. During the year 2006-07, an outlay of Rs. 1000.00 lakhs (Rs. 600.00 lakhs for TSP and Rs. 400.00 lakhs) is proposed under this scheme.

Gram Swablambi Yojana

The objective of this scheme is to encourage the rural people to formulate innovative schemes. The fund will be provided to the people after review of their proposals / schemes. In addition to above objective this scheme will also provide outlays for schemes which during the course of the year appear to be critical and important in the developmental needs of the State and for which outlays have not been provided elsewhere. An outlay of Rs.3200.00 lakhs is proposed for the year 2006-07 under this programme.

Jharkhand State Planning Board

The Planning Board has been constituted with the purpose of making assessment of all resources of the state, formulating plans and balance utilisation of resources and determining priorities. An outlay of Rs.150.00 lakhs is proposed for the year 2006-07.

Installation of Rain-gauge

The Directorate of Economics and Statistics has the responsibility to collect rainfall data to monitor flood and drought situation as well as crop prospect in the state. An outlay of Rs. 8.00 lakhs is proposed for the Annual Plan 2006-07 to procure, install and repair rain-gauge in all the blocks of the state.

Computerization of Directorate of Economics and Statistics

Collection and analysis of data collected from Agricultural survey, Rainfall studies, Socio - economic survey, Economic census, Irrigation census are the responsibility of the Directorate. Computerization of the Directorate is the need of the hour for timely forecasting and evaluation of the various parameters of the developmental functions of the state. A sum of Rs. 25.00 lakhs is proposed for the year 2006-07.
