Computerization and Networking of Commercial Taxes Department
The Government of Jharkhand has embarked upon an ambitious project on computerization and networking of field offices as well as Headquarters of Commercial Taxes Department.
Following are the main objectives of the projects:
- Providing an efficient, transparent, responsive and citizen friendly public interface to users of the Department.
- Providing a concise and concrete database of all vital information regarding the dealers and their taxes and also the assessing authorized and their circles.
- To improve the efficiency and affectivity of taxes administration.Improved tax collection.
- To reduce compliance burden on honest taxpayers.
- To enhance the equitable treatment of taxpayers by procedures provided in the FinanceAct and the Central Sales Tax Act and other Act administered by the user department.
- To ensure enforcement of Sales Tax laws and accurate informations in time regarding activities taking place within the circles by generation of timely reports. To broaden the Tax base
