New Schemes

i) Establishment of Commercial Dairy
Under this scheme progressive farmers and youth entrepreneur will be given 20 milch animals unit of Commercial Dairy. A sum of Rs.1.02 lakh is given as assistance by the Government, against the total estimate project cost of Rs.5.08 lakh, rest sum of Rs.4.06 lakh will be made available as loan from commercial Bank. In this scheme 10 cross breed milch cattle and 10 improved buffalo will be given with a view to sell of milk as well as to sell milch cattle especially under government sponsored programme. A sum of Rs.8.16 lakh is proposed for establishment of 8 units of Commercial Dairy for the year 2004-05.

 ii) Gokul Nagar yojna
 Under this scheme, each village will be developed as Gokul Nagar. Under this infrastructure, basic amenities like community Building, common cattle shed, Drinking water for vermin compost by cow dung, Training and awareness programme is proposed. A total sum of Rs. 200.00 lakh is proposed for 10 districts during the the year 2004-05.

 iii) Establishment of Cold-Chain
Under this scheme, establishment of cold chain will be due at village level in order to procure & chill the milk at village cevel itself by establishing bulk cooler. A total Sum of Rs.30.00 lakh is proposed during the year 2004-05.>
 iv) Strengthening of Milk Centres
 Under this scheme, strengthening or renovation of existing milk chilling centers / Rural dairies is done with a view to make them viable /self sustainable. A liquid milk processing cum packaging unit with the handling capacity of 5000 liters per Hansdiha (Dumka), and strengthening of Hazaribag & Lohardaga & Gridih milk chilling centers will be done during the year 2004-05. A sum of Rs. 45.00 lakh is proposed for the year 2004-05.
